A well-deserved award. Congratulations, Professor Krugman!

Rachel Maddow begins her show tonight at 9PM on <spit> MSNBC.

Rachel Maddow is the smartest person on the teevee.

I haven't been this excited about a teevee show since, oh, the fifth season of St. Elsewhere.

If we lived in a rational world, a person's sex life would remain private.

Alas, we don't. So we'll have to endure all the gasbags foaming at the mouth over John Edwards admitting that he had an affair.

Already I'm hearing the question from folks who ought to know better: "why did he do it?"

Anyone who has to ask that question doesn't understand much about humans.

He did it because he's a guy and she was willing. It's that simple. Next subject.

I wish the media would devote half as much attention to important issues, like, say, a president who lied his way into a war that has resulted in the deaths and and ruined lives of untold thousands of people.
